ADMINISTRATION Sec. 6. - Qualifications of City Manager. The City Manager shall be chosen by the Council on the basis of his executive and administrative qualifications. He shall be required to have a minimum of a four (4) year bachelor's degree in public administration or related fields. The Council shall establish additional qualifications for selection of the City Manager, such as, but not limited to, his years of experience in city government. The City Manager need not when appointed be a resident of the city or state, except as may be otherwise provided by law, but must be a citizen of the United States he shall, upon appointment, become a resident of the city OR RESIDE WITHIN 15 MILES OF THE CITY'S CORPORATE LIMITS.
