Get StartedKALKASKA COUNTY COMMISSION ON AGING MILLAGE RENEWAL AND RESTORATION PROPOSAL For the sole purpose of proving funds for the continued operations, expenses and capital improvements of the Kalkaska County Commission on Aging at the same millage level approved by the voters in 2019, shall the Constitutional limitation upon the total amount of taxes which may be assessed in one (1) year upon all property within the County of Kalkaska, Michigan, be renewed at 0.4900 of one (1) mill, and shall the previously authorized reduced millage of 0.0100 of one (1) mills be restored, for a return to the previously voted total limitation increase of 0.5 of one (1) mills, and shall the County be authorized to levy, up to .5 mill ($0.50 per $1,000 of Taxable Value) for a period of six (6) years, 2026 through 2031, inclusive? If approved and levied in full, this millage will raise an estimated $529,061.00 for providing funds for operations, expenses and capital improvements for the Kalkaska County Commission on Aging in the first calendar year of the levy based on taxable value. In accordance with State law, a portion of the millage may be disbursed to the Downtown Development Authority of the Village of Kalkaska.
