Get StartedApproval of this measure authorizes the City to issue a principal amount of up to $58 million of general obligation bonds. Proceeds of the bonds would pay capital costs to provide a new city hall/library and related facilities and improvements. Specifically, the project is expected to: - Right size the city hall/library facility to meet community needs; - Reduce operating costs and improve efficiency; and - Improve safety and security for public and City staff. City would establish a citizen oversight committee. Bonds may be issued in multiple series, each maturing within 31 years from issuance. The estimated annual bond tax rate would be $1.07 per $1,000 of assessed property value. Levy rates may differ due to actual interest rates at time of issuance and changes in assessed value.
