Get StartedShall the City of Livonia, County of Wayne, Michigan, borrow the principal sum of not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Million Dollars ($150,000,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds, in one or more series, payable in not to exceed twenty-five (25) years from the date of issuance of each series, for the purpose of paying all or part of the cost of acquiring land and buildings for use by the City, and acquiring, constructing, renovating, furnishing and equipping various capital improvement projects and municipal facilities in the City, including necessary rights of way, related site improvements, appurtenances, attachments and ancillary facilities therefor, including, but not limited to (i) acquiring, constructing, furnishing and equipping a new police station with adjacent parking structure and a new library; (ii) renovating, expanding, improving, furnishing and equipping Fire Station Nos. 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6; (iii) acquiring, constructing, equipping and providing recreational facilities within a public greenspace; (iv) demolishing existing buildings and structures located on public use spaces, including, but not limited to, the existing police station, the existing library, and the existing City Hall, located at the Five Mile Road and Farmington Road Civic Center campus site; and (v) improving the City owned property located at the Five Mile Road and Farmington Road Civic Center campus site? If approved, the estimated millage to be levied in December 2025 is 1.4300 mills ($1.43 per $1,000 of taxable value) and the estimated simple average annual millage rate required to retire the bonds is 1.4300 mills ($1.43 per $1,000 of taxable value).
