ONE PERCENT (1%) SPECIFIC PURPOSE SALES AND USE TAX FOR THE EXCLUSIVE PURPOSE OF FUNDING SPECIFIC PURPOSES - Proposition #1

Shall Johnson County be authorized to impose an additional one percent (1%) Specific Purpose Sales and Use Tax, within Johnson County, to be used for funding the planning, engineering, construction, remodeling, furnishing, equipping, supplying (including maintenance equipment), acquisition and improvement of land (if necessary) and, to the extent necessary and allowed by law, a pledge or payment of operation and maintenance, debt service, lease payments thereon and, if necessary and/or available, to be used to leverage or match federal and/or state grant funds, in the specified amounts and for the specified purposes provided below: Proposition #1 Two hundred eighty thousand dollars ($280,000.00) for planning, engineering, and construction related to the improvement of the driving surface and drainage system on Old Barnum Road and Barber Street from Nolan Avenue to Park Avenue in the Town of Kaycee;
