Proposition 1 - Capital Improvements Sales Tax Amendment

Shall Howell County repeal its existing countywide capital improvement sales tax of one half of one percent (1/2 of 1%), authorized by Section 67.700 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri and approved for the purpose of road maintenance and materials, and impose a countywide sales tax of one half of one percent (1/2 of 1%), authorized by Section 67.547 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, for the purpose of maintaining, constructing, and improving county-maintained roads and bridges? Approval of this proposition will not increase the sales tax rate in Howell County.
