Proposition 1 - Countywide Sales Tax Renewal

Shall the County of Lincoln renew the imposition of a countywide sales tax, exactly as previously approved in April of 2016, at the same rate of one-half of one percent (%) for a period of ten years from the date of expiration of the current one-half of one percent (2%) tax for Road and Bridge maintenance and repair? This is not a new tax or a tax increase, but a continuation of the current sales tax. The approval of the proposition will authorize the continued collection of the one-half of one percent (1/2%) sales tax in addition to the other sales tax provided for by law on all retail sales made in the County which are subject to taxation.
