Proposition 61 - Transportation Development District Organization

Shall there be organized within the boundaries of Marion County, Missouri and Ralls County, Missouri, all located in the State of Missouri (collectively the "Boundaries"), a transportation development district, to be known as the Hannibal Expressway Transportation Development District ("District") for the purpose of developing the following transportation projects: upgrades and enhancements along the U.S. Highway 61 corridor from its intersection with Missouri Route 19 to the south of the City of New London, Missouri to its intersection with Missouri Route 168 to the north of the City of Palmyra, Missouri, including without limitation a new section of U.S. Highway 61 within the boundaries of the District to create an expressway to the west of the City of Hannibal, Missouri, and be authorized to impose a transportation development district-wide sales tax at a rate of one half of one percent (1/2%) for a period of up to 25 years from the date on which such tax is first imposed for the purpose of funding the transportation projects?
