Proposition No. 1 - PUBLIC SAFETY AND TOWN OPERATIONS AND SERVICES LEVY

The Town Council of the Town of South Prairie passed Ordinance No. 670 concerning funding for public safety and Town services and operations. This proposition increases the Town's regular property tax levy by approximately $1.33/$1,000, for a maximum rate of $2.90/$1,000 for collection in 2027 to fund comprehensive governmental services, including police, fire, emergency management, parks, open spaces, roads, and other Town operations and services; sets the limit factor for the Town's total regular property tax levy for 2028-2032 to 6%; and authorizes the 2032 levy amount as the basis to calculate subsequent levies (RCW 84.55).
