Get StartedShall the County of Cass, Michigan, be authorized to levy annually an amount not to exceed .4881 mill ($0.4881 on each $1,000 of taxable value), which is a renewal of the millage rate that expired in 2024, against all taxable property within Cass County for a period of ten (10) years, 2025 through 2034, inclusive, for the purpose of defraying the costs of operation of the Cass County Medical Care Facility as well as funding for Cass County Medical Care Facility to expand service options for the community? The estimate of the revenue Cass County will collect if the millage is approved and levied in the first year (2025) is approximately $1,540,000. By law, a portion of the millage may be subject to capture by brownfield redevelopment authorities and those authorities governed by the Recodified Tax Increment Financing Act, 2018 PA 57, including but not limited to the City of Dowagiac and City of Niles Brownfield Redevelopment Authorities.
