Get StartedShall a special one percent sales and use tax for educational purposes continue to be imposed in Seminole County for a period not to exceed twenty (20) calendar quarters and for the purpose of raising not more than $14,240,000 of net proceeds by said tax, which shall go to the School District for the purpose of (i) adding to, renovating, modifying, improving, equipping, constructing and demolishing existing school buildings and facilities including but not limited to vocational/agricultural facilities, gymnasiums, HY AC and physical education and athletic facilities; (ii) acquiring miscellaneous new equipment, fixtures, furnishings for the school district, including information technology equipment and software, safety and security equipment; (iii) acquiring, constructing and equipping new school buildings and facilities useful and desirable in connection therewith, including, but not limited to a new kindergarten through 12th grade building, physical education/athletic facility; (iv) acquiring school buses, transportation and maintenance vehicles and other school vehicles; (v) purchasing textbooks including E-books, devices, test prep materials; (vi) acquiring real property; (vii) acquiring any necessary or desirable property, both real and personal; (viii) the payment of a portion of the debt service on the School District's General Obligation Bonds, Series 2021 not to exceed $6,600,000, the maximum amount of all the projects to be paid with sales and use tax proceeds will be $14,240,000?
