Get StartedThis proposal will permit the Authority Board to renew the levy of up to 2 mills for four (4) years for the purpose of providing funds for acquiring, construction, improvement, repair, and maintenance of ambulance buildings and facilities and for equipping, operating and maintaining ambulance services within the territorial limits of the Township Ambulance Authority. Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be imposed on taxable property within the territorial limits of the (Central Lake Township, Chestonia Township, Custer Township, Forest Home Township, Helena Township, Kearney Township, Mancelona Township, Star Township and Warner Township) Authority within the County of Antrim, State of Michigan, be increased by up to two dollars ($2.00) per thousand dollars ($1,000.00) (2 mills) of the taxable value to restore the millage to 2 mills due to the Headlee rollback on all taxable property within the territorial limits of the Township Ambulance Authority for four (4) years, being 2027 through 2030 inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for acquiring, construction, improvement, repair and maintenance of ambulance buildings and facilities, and for equipping, operating, and maintaining an ambulance service within the territorial limits of the Township Ambulance Authority, and shall the Township Ambulance Authority be authorized to levy such millage for these purposes? If approved and levied in its entirety, it is estimated that the 2 mills would raise an estimated $2,548,581.64 within the territorial limits of the Township Ambulance Authority for the Township Ambulance Authority when first levied in 2027.
