Get StartedShall a special one percent sales and use tax be reimposed in the special district of Clayton County, upon the termination of the special one percent sales and use tax presently in effect, for a period of time not to exceed 24 calendar quarters (i.e., 6 years) and for the raising of an estimated amount of $412,791,335.00 for the purposes of: (1) upgrades and improvements to the Harold Banke Justice Complex including courtside, jail and juvenile justice improvements; county-wide flooding infrastructure and remediation; upgrades to police department headquarters; County-wide upgrades to information technology software, hardware, computer equipment, storage infrastructure, fiber and related systems; transportation projects which include road resurfacing, sidewalk, pedestrian crossings, road corridor improvements, intersection improvements, bridge repair and replacement, traffic signals, road signs and markings, operational and safety improvements, and associated equipment; upgrades to roofing on county buildings; lease/purchase of Fire Station 17; stormwater improvements at Spivey Splash Water Park; phase two funding for medical examiner's office; master plan site work for Clayton County Government Complex; exterior improvements to Riverdale Library; development of master plan for park improvements; additions and upgrades to existing parks and recreation structures, trails, equipment, lighting systems, facilities and related equipment including land and title acquisition; construction of new parks and recreation gymnasium; (2) Various infrastructure, beautification, and capital improvement projects within the City of College Park for the areas located in Clayton County. These projects may include the acquisition of real estate—such as land, title, and equipment; the installation of new infrastructure; construction of new facilities; renovations, additions, and upgrades to existing structures; beautification of public spaces; and the purchase of equipment and vehicles to support the operations of multiple city departments; (3) various infrastructure improvements for the City of Forest Park including roads, bridges, sidewalks and transportation; upgrades to City facilities and equipment; facility improvements for parks and recreation; upgrades and purchases of public safety facilities and equipment; upgrades to technology; (4) numerous improvements of real and personal property for City of Jonesboro including debt service; road and sidewalk improvement; capital improvements to parks, City Hall and public works; fleet replacement for public works and police department; street sign replacement and wayfinding installations; (5) various infrastructure improvements and upgrades for the City of Lake City including sidewalk and street improvements including installation, paving and upgrades, upgrades to facilities, city buildings and purchase of GIF/GIS software, purchase and acquisition of additional greenspaces for new park and upgrades to current city parks, purchase of public safety vehicles and equipment, and purchase of equipment for various departments and economic development; (6) facilities and infrastructure improvements for City of Lovejoy including maintenance and improvement of various sidewalks, intersections, utilities, buildings, roads, signage, storm drainage systems and resurfacing including right of way acquisitions, various public safety equipment purchases, building repairs and upgrades including acquisition of title, real estate and equipment, design and construction of new government and recreational facilities including acquisition of title, real estate and equipment, improvements, additions and upgrades to existing structures including land and title acquisition, and upgrades of phones, internet, software, computer, cloud storage, information technology and communications related equipment; (7) various facilities and infrastructure improvements for the City of Morrow including major system and equipment upgrades to City Hall/Fire Station; software and equipment upgrades for public safety facilities and systems; gym retrofit at Angel Greek Community Center; recreation, playground and equipment upgrades to Barton Memorial Park, Charles Milton Daniel Park and Veterans Park; various quality of life projects, facility, equipment, software and infrastructure upgrades to sidewalks, traffic mitigation and control, roadway improvement, public WiFi and fiber implementation, stormwater design and improvement; artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicle planning, design and implementation; and (8) various facilities and infrastructure improvements for the City of Riverdale including a digital self-service bill pay kiosk; upgrades and purchases of public safety and administrative facility information technology equipment; infrastructure upgrades to streets, signage and roads; various quality of life projects including parks, recreation and City building and facility improvements?
