Examples of necessary capital equipment that would be purchased as replacement equipment are ambulances, cardiac monitors, and ambulance cots. This is not an increase in tax over the same tax that has been levied for the past ten years, but a continuation of the same capital equipment millage. Shall the existing tax rate limitation previously approved by the electors of the Marshall Area Firefighters Ambulance Authority, Calhoun County, Michigan,.20 mills ($0.20 on each $1,000.00 of taxable valuation) for a period of 10 years, 2017 through 2026, inclusive, be renewed at.20 mills ($0.20 on each $1,000.00 of the taxable valuation) for a period of 10 years 2027 through 2036, inclusive, as a renewal millage for the purpose of funding replacement ambulances, cardiac monitors, ambulance cots, and other capital equipment. These funds will not be used for operations or payroll. The estimated amount of revenue that will be collected by the Authority in the first year that the millage is authorized and levied is $270,862.00.
