Question 1 - Special One Percent Sales and Use Tax

Shall a continuation of a special one percent sales and use tax be imposed in the special district of Montgomery County for a period of time not to exceed six years and for the raising of an estimated amount of $6,500,000.00 for the purpose of (1) funding improvements and construction of buildings, road construction and improvement projects, recreation equipment, library equipment, major equipment and motor vehicles for Montgomery County; (2) for funding building improvements and construction projects, road and street improvements, extension and improvement of water and sewer systems, major equipment and motor vehicles for the Municipalities of Mount Vernon, Uvalda, Ailey, alston, Higgston, and Tarrytown.
