Question 1 - School Special Purpose Local Option Sales and Use Tax

Shall the special 1 percent sales and use tax for education currently in effect in McDuffie County be continued for a period of time not to exceed 20 calendar quarters and for the raising of not more than $30,000,000 for the following purposes of the McDuffie County School District (the "School District"): (i) renovating, repairing, improving, extending, upgrading, replacing, furnishing, or equipping Thomson-McDuffie Middle School, or any combination thereof; (ii) renovating, installing, repairing, furnishing, or equipping school buildings, or support, administrative, athletic, or program facilities of the School District, including HVAC or lighting upgrades, or repairing flooring or roofing, or any combination thereof; (iii) acquiring and installing system wide network upgrades (including back-up system upgrades), software, or instructional, administrative, or other technology, or any combination thereof; (iv) acquiring school buses, maintenance or public safety vehicles, or maintenance, public safety, or transportation equipment, or any combination thereof; (v) acquiring learning resources or band equipment, or a combination thereof; (vi) acquiring any property, real or personal, or performing any demolition necessary to the foregoing, or any combination thereof (collectively, the "Projects"); (vii) paying principal of and interest on the School District's previously incurred general obligation bonds, Series 2022; (viii) paying costs of issuing the below described Bonds; or (ix) any combination of such purposes?
