Get StartedShall a one percent sales and use tax be imposed in the special district of Meriwether County for a period of time of twenty-four calendar quarters (6 Years) and for the raising of an estimated amount of $14,000,000 for the following purposes, pursuant to an Intergovernmental Contract, dated June 09, 2025, among Meriwether County, Georgia, the City of Greenville, the Town of Gay, the Town of Lone Oak, the City of Luthersville, the City of Manchester, the City of Warm Springs, the City of Woodbury, and the Town of Pine Mountain, which qualified municipalities comprise more than 50% of the municipal population of the special district: (A) funding the following capital outlay projects for Meriwether County: (1) Building Renovations, (2) Public Safety Vehicles and Equipment, (3) Sheriff's Office Vehicles and Equipment, (4) Public Works Vehicles and Equipment, (5) Recreation Improvements, (6) Information Technology Upgrades, and (7) Roads and Transportation Infrastructure; (B) funding the following capital outlay projects for the City of Greenville: (1) Public Works Projects, (2) Public Safety Projects, (3) Recreation Projects, (4) General Building Projects, and (5) Downtown Development Authority Projects; (C) funding the following capital outlay projects for the Town of Gay: (1) Water System Upgrades, Software, and Equipment, (2) Building Renovations, Expansion, and Equipment, (3) Paving and Parking Improvements, (4) Parks and Recreation, and (5) Security Projects and upgrades; (D) funding the following capital outlay projects for the Town of Lone Oak: (1) Upgrades to Buildings, (2) Streets and Sidewalks, (3) Historic Preservation, and (4) Recreation; (E) funding the following capital outlay projects for the City of Luthersville: (1) Downtown Repairs/Renovations, (2) City Hall Repairs/Renovations, (3) Water System Repairs/Upgrades, (4) Street Repairs/Paving, (5) City Park Repairs/Renovations, (6) Public Safety Improvements, and (7) Upgrade Recreational Facilities; (F) funding the following capital outlay projects for the City of Manchester: (1) Vehicles and Equipment (All Departments), (2) Building Renovations, (3) Water and Sewer System Improvements including Expansion, (4) Downtown Streetscape, (5) Streets and Sidewalks, (6) Storm Drain Repairs and Renovations, (7) Infrastructure Repairs and Renovations, (8) Recreation, and (9) I.T.; (G) funding the following capital outlay projects for the City of Warm Springs: (1) Streetscape and Sidewalk Improvements, (2) Walking Trails, (3) Water and Sewer Line Improvements, (4) Streets and Transportation, (5) Add Vehicles for Police and Utility Maintenance Departments, (6) Building Renovations, (7) Equipment, (8) Recreation, and (9) I.T.; (H) funding the following capital outlay projects for the City of Woodbury: (1) Building and Grounds Renovations and Additions (All Departments), (2) Public Safety Vehicles and Equipment, (3) Recreation, (4) Public Works Vehicles, Equipment, and Expansion, (5) I.T., (6) Water and Sewer Improvements, (7) Redevelopment Plan and Implementation, and (8) Streets, Transportation, and Sidewalks; (I) funding the following capital outlay projects for the Town of Pine Mountain: (1) Street and Road Repairs, and (2) Water Lines Improvements.
