Question 1 - Annexation

Shall the City of Orrick, Missouri annex the following real property into the corporate limits of the City? The real property proposed for annexation consists of the following parcels of land situated in Ray County, Missouri, each identified by parcel number and abbreviated legal description, and identified by its common street address: 107 Acres more or less located on Highway Z, Orrick, Missouri 64077 known as parcel No. 13- 07-26-00-000-004. 00 With a Legal Description as follows: All of the Northeast Quarter of Section Twenty-Six (26), Township Fifty-One (51), Range Twenty-Nine (29), Ray County, Missouri. EXCEPTING thirteen (13) acres off the North end thereof; also excepting a strip of ground 10 feet wide lying immediately south and adjoining the 13 acres tract of ground excepted; also excepting part conveyed to the State of Missouri for highway designated Route Z. Also subject to easement to Missouri Public Service Co. ALSO EXCEPTING 34 acres, more or less, in the Southeast comer of said quarter section described as follows: All that part of Northeast quarter of Section 26, T51N, R29W bounded and described as follows, to wit: Beginning at the Southeast comer of said Northeast quarter of Section 26, T51N, R29W, thence west with the quarter section of line 1742.0 feet; thence north 858 feet, thence east 1742.0 feet, thence south 858 feet to the point of beginning. ALSO EXCEPTING All that part of the Northeast ¼ of Section 26, Township 51, Range 29 in Ray County, Missouri, described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast comer of said ¼ Section; thence South 0°37'14" East, along the East line of said ¼ Section, a distance of 882.03 feet; thence South 89°22'46" West, a distance of 35.00 feet to a point on the West right-ofway line of Missouri State Highway Route Z, as now established, said point being the true point of beginning of the tract of land to be herein described; thence South 0°37'14" East, along said West right-of-way line, a distance of 550.00 feet; thence South 89°22'46" West, a distance of 400.00 feet; thence North 0°37'14" West, a distance of 550 feet; thence North 89°22'46" East, a distance of 400.00 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 220,000 square feet of 5.05 acres more or less. If a majority of the votes cast on the question by the qualified voters voting thereon are in favor of the question, then the City of Orrick shall be authorized to annex the property described herein into the corporate limits of the City of Orrick.
