Question 1 - Special One Percent Sales and Use Tax

Shall a special one percent sales and use tax be imposed in the special district of Johnson County for a period of time not to exceed six (6) years and for the raising of an estimated amount of $4,000,000.00 for the purpose of funding; (1) Courthouse & government buildings and equipment improvements; fire vehicles; fire equipment; public safety vehicles; EMS vehicles; EMS equipment; e-911 equipment; road, street, bridge and drainage improvements; public works facilities and equipment; recreational facilities and equipment; and solid waste for Johnson County; and (2) community capital improvements including roads, streets and bridges; water and public works department capital improvements and equipment; police department capital improvements and equipment; and fire department capital improvements and equipment for the Municipality of Wrightsville; and (3) Public works and safety capital improvements and equipment; water and sewer system capital improvements and equipment; city government buildings and facility capital improvements; and recreation capital improvements for the Municipality of Adrian; and (4) Public works capital improvements and equipment; recreation department capital improvements; and water and sewer system capital improvements for the Municipality of Kite.
