Question 1 - Proposed Tax Levy (Renewal)

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Medina County for the purpose of providing funding for police departments and townships for any and all expenditures allowed under Section 5705.19(J) of the Ohio Revised Code for police operations that focus on drug interdiction, and for the payment of other related costs which may include school resource officers that the county auditor estimates will collect $1,847,100 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.35 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $8 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's appraised value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
