Question 13 - Parks and Trails Millage

In support of continued upgrades, improvements, and development to the Township parks and trails, shall the amount of ad valorem taxes previously approved by the voters of St. Joseph Charter Township under Article IX, Section 6, of the Michigan Constitution, as reduced by required rollbacks at.2483 mills ($0.2483 or 24.83 cents per each $1,000 of taxable valuation, as equalized) be renewed and increased by.04 mills ($0.04 or 4 cents per $1,000.00 of taxable valuation) for a total millage rate of.2883 mills ($0.2883 or 28.83 cents per $1000.00 of taxable valuation)? The authorization to levy said millage is for a period of ten (10) years, being the years of 2028 through 2037. It is estimated that the amount of revenue to be generated from the total millage in the first year of the levy (2028) will be approximately $165,725.33.
