Question 2 - Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax

Shall a special one percent sales and use tax be imposed in the special district of Worth County for a period of time not to exceed five (5) years and for the raising of an estimated amount of $18,200,000.00 for the purpose of: Funding for Projects for Courthouse; Governmental Buildings; Recreation; and Jail for Countywide Projects for Worth County; Funding for Projects for Public Safety including Worth County Fire Department, Sheriff's Department, Emergency Management Services (EMS) and E-911 Services; and Public Works Capital Projects for Worth County; Funding for Road, Street, Culvert, Stormwater, Traffic, Curb and Sidewalk Projects; Purchase of Technology and Software Systems for upgraded water meters; Water, Sewer, Gas, Electric Improvements; Vehicles and Equipment Replacements; Parks, Cultural, & Recreation Improvements; Public Safety Capital Equipment; and Holley School Gym and Grounds Improvements for the City of Sylvester; Funding for Projects for Water Systems Improvements; Governmental Buildings; Public Safety; Public Works Department; Capital Equipment; Parks and Recreation; and Roads, Streets, Bridges, and Drainage Improvements for the City of Poulan; Funding for Projects for Governmental Buildings, Improvements; Capital Equipment Public Safety; Recreation / Park Improvements; and Water System Improvements for the City of Warwick; and, Funding for Projects for Fire Department; Police Department; Public Works; Parks and Recreation; Water System Improvements; Road, Street, and Bridge Improvements; Governmental Buildings and Facilities; IT Systems and Software Upgrades; and City Hall Capital Project for the Town of Sumner.
