Get StartedShall a special one percent (1%) Single County Transportation Special Purpose Local Options Sales and Use Tax be imposed in the special district of Rabun County for a for a term of five (5) years, beginning on April 1, 2026, which is expected to raise $26,000,000 to be allocated between Rabun County and the Municipalities as follows: Rabun County (65.221%); City of Clayton (15.197%); City of Dillard (0.782%); City of Mountain City (3.921%); City of Sky Valley (11.574%); City of Tallulah Falls (0.489%) and City of Tiger (2.817%), and to be used for the purposes of providing funds to pay, in full or in part, the estimated costs of the following transportation capital outlay projects: (1) Rabun County projects, including: (a) Paving/Resurfacing at an estimated cost of $7,857,497; (b) Road Expansion and Utility Relocation at an estimated cost of $5,353,000; (c) Construction, Renovation, and Road Improvements at an estimated cost of $3,059,000; (d) Safety Improvements at an estimated cost of $229,000; and (e) Public Transportation Improvements and Vehicles at an estimated cost of $459,000; (2) City of Clayton Projects, including: Construction, Renovation, Maintenance, and Safety Improvements to Roads, Streets, Bridges, Public Parking, Sidewalks, and Multi-use Paths, to include acquisition of rights of way, relocation of utilities, transportation vehicles/equipment and other necessary applicable transportation projects at an estimated cost of $3,951,104; (3) City of Dillard Projects, including: Paving/Resurfacing, Improvement of Roads, Streets, Sidewalks and Bicycle Paths, and Safety Enhancements at an estimated cost of $203,416; (4) City of Mountain City Projects, including: (a) Paving and Resurfacing of Roads, Bridges, Sidewalks, and Pedestrian and Bike Paths at an estimated cost of $851,431; (b) Repairs for Preservation of Roads and Streets at an estimated cost of $61,000; (c) Improve Surface Water Drainage at an estimated cost of $31,000; and (d) Maintenance and Safety Enhancements at an estimated cost of $76,000; (5) City of Sky Valley Projects, including: Paving, Resurfacing, and Repair of Roads and Streets, Maintenance and Safety Enhancements, and Vehicles at an estimated cost of $3,009,127; (6) City of Tallulah Falls Projects, including: Paving and Resurfacing at an estimated cost of $127,108; (7) City of Tiger Projects, including: (a) Paving and Resurfacing at an estimated cost of $421,318; (b) Striping of Roads at an estimated cost of $76,000; (c) Culvert Replacement at an estimated cost of $76,000; and Sidewalk Expansion and Replacement at an estimated cost of $732,318?
