Question 2 - General Obligation Bonds

Shall Unified School District No. 340, Jefferson County, Kansas (Jefferson West), issue general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $7,500,000 to pay the costs to: (a) make improvements to the existing Jefferson West Preschool building, including but not limited to constructing, upgrading, equipping and furnishing a secure building entrance, low voltage IT system, HVAC systems, restrooms to meet ADA compliance, warming kitchen, replacement of windows in original classrooms, and foundation and wall repairs; (b) make improvements to the existing Jefferson West Elementary School building, including but not limited to constructing, upgrading, equipping and furnishing a fire alarm system, HVAC systems, electrical systems, low voltage IT system, and warming kitchen; (c) make improvements to the existing Jefferson West Middle School building, including but not limited to constructing, upgrading, equipping and furnishing a new secure building entrance, low voltage IT system, HVAC systems including the gym with heat and air conditioning, electrical systems, warming kitchen, exterior waterproofing and insulation, and foundation and structural repairs; (d) make improvements to the existing Jefferson West High School building, including but not limited to constructing, upgrading, equipping and furnishing low voltage IT system, electrical systems, front walk concrete and column repair or replacement, central kitchen upgrades and finishes, and replace speaker and intercom system; (e) make improvements to the existing Jefferson West Vocational Ag facilities, including but not limited to constructing, upgrading, equipping and furnishing low voltage IT system, electrical systems, interior renovations, and ventilation system for shop area; (f) make other improvements directly related and incidental to the foregoing improvements that are necessary to complete the projects (collectively the "Project"); and (g) pay costs of issuance and interest on the bonds during construction of the Project; all pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 10-101 et seq., K.S.A. 25-2018(f), K.S.A. 72-5457, and K.S.A. 72-5458 et seq.?
