Get StartedIn support of road maintenance, repair and replacement in the Galien Township, Berrien County, Michigan, and in order to continue to provide road maintenance, repair and replacement, shall the limitation on the total amount of taxes which may be assessed against the taxable valuation of all real and personal property in Galien Township liable for taxation, including that land lying in the Village of Galien, be set at one mill (1.0) which is equal to $1.00 (One Dollar) for each $1,000.00 of real and personal property subject to taxation. Said millage will be used to continue to provide road maintenance, repair and replacement. Said millage, if approved by the electors of Galien Township, will be levied for a period of four (4) years, starting in 2026 and ending in 2029. It is estimated that the levy will generate $71,740.00 in the first year.
