Referendum Question 1 - Charter Amendment

"Shall the City of Waterville approve the charter amendment reprinted below?" Article III Section 1. Appointment of City Manager; qualifications. The City Manager shall be chosen as provided in Article IV, Section 7, for a term no too to exceed five years. The manager shall be appointed on the basis of executive and administrative qualification executive and administrative qualifications, with a preferred minimum of five years' municipal managerial experience and relevant post-secondary educational attainment. ~The City Manager shall, during tenure of office, reside within the City.~ The City Manager may reside outside of Waterville while in office only with the approval of the City Council.
