If an offender picks up several criminal cases in multiple counties, DA’s offices are allowed to consolidate their cases to one county to handle the sentencing of the offender. Menominee-Shawano County is the only county in the region that I’m aware of that has a blanket policy of no consolidation of cases. If other counties believe this practice is best for their taxpayers, why aren’t we following suit? Learn more
