I will fight to get those provisions and other legislation protecting our planet passed. We must act now. Also, a key corollary to protecting the environment is to be a strong advocate for environmental justice and to make sure the burdens of climate change do not disproportionately fall on the poor and people of color. With the onslaught of mass shootings and gun violence, it is important that Maryland remain in the vanguard of sensible gun control laws, gun safety and education programs. Learn more
When I am in Annapolis, I will ensure that healthcare decisions are made by patients and their doctors, not by an insurance company. I will fight to lower prescription drug costs so that people do not have to choose between food and medication. Learn more

I commend my colleague and friend, Delegate Jared Solomon, for the passage of his bill related to childcare scholarships but that is just the first step in lowering the cost of childcare. Finding a solution to this problem will be a top priority for me in the House of Delegates. Learn more
