Get StartedModern Police & Fire Facilities: Our police station and some of our fire stations are outdated. Now that voters have approved the 2025 Public Safety Bond, I will ensure these funds are used wisely, staying laser-focused on what our first responders need to protect our community. Learn more
21st Century Buildings: When the city breaks ground on the new bond projects, I will keep a close watch to ensure that we are being proactive about getting as close to LEED certified as possible in the current economic climate. Learn more
Expanded Transit: I believe Novi residents should get more for their transit investment. I’ll lobby Oakland County to create an “entertainment loop” which serves Fountain Walk, Twelve Oaks, Adell Center, Main Street, Sakura, West Oaks, and the Suburban Collection Showplace to help residents and visitors safely get to our city’s best spots while decreasing traffic congestion. Resilient Infrastructure: Novi residents are tired of the power going out on sunny days. DTE’s so-called “improvements” have done little to fix the problem. Our City Council should empower the Public Utilities Committee to dig further into what work has been done in Novi to justify the higher rates that DTE will charge. Learn more
Protecting Quality of Life: I’ll push for policies that address noise, traffic, and environmental impacts before they become problems, like requiring more robust planning for tree removal or expansions of city utilities. Learn more
Improved Mobility: Novi residents should have a number of ways to get from point A to point B in our city. As we complete the build-out of our trails, sidewalks, and paths, I want to be hearing directly from the residents affected in those areas and bring them to the table to find a solution that serves everyone. Financial Sustainability: Decisions made far away from Novi will unfortunately have an impact on the bottom line of any building project we undertake. I’ll be a strong advocate for keeping residents in-the-know about our cost projections and keeping a watchful eye that we are not being pressed by economic realities to cut corners at the expense of safety or quality.
