More attention needs to be given when it comes to mental illness, especially with our youth. In April 2022, we had a situation here in Harrison Township where a young man threatened to harm two teenagers in a parking lot. The 23 year old escaped from a behavioral center in Michigan and was re-captured a couple of days later. The lack of mental health resources in Michigan is a problem that we need to address.
