Get StartedIf elected, I will approach this subject with an open mind. Regarding re-regulating commercial marijuana, like any economic development project, I will ask the same questions: are the proposed regulations well-planned and do they conform to the General Plan? Calaveras County can’t be a special place to live without a thriving, prosperous economy. I believe Calaveras County’s economy needs to be as diverse as it’s geology – we should follow all promising leads, invest in critical infrastructure, and protect and enhance property values wherever we can. I am pro-growth – sensible growth. Sensible growth is well-planned, market-driven, doesn’t hurt the County Budget, and makes our lives better. I understand it is mostly the state of the economy and demographic trends, not County government policy, that will or won’t drive economic growth in Calaveras County. But as your Supervisor, wherever unnecessary or harmful fees or regu- lations are holding us back I will work to change them. Everywhere the economy is changing before our eyes; as a County we need to prepare to benefit where we can, and as a community protect our rural way of life. Learn more
If elected I will bring the task force back together to help expand our solid waste facilities and preserve this vital asset that we pay for. Learn more
As your Supervisor, I will tell the truth about the County Budget, no matter the political consequences. Working with the County, To be clear: If I’m elected Supervisor, I will not vote for any increase in taxes or fees on Calaveras residents until we have rebuilt the public’s trust and understanding of the County Budget.
