As one who faced housing insecurity in this community and then worked many years providing affordable housing to extremely low- to moderate-income families, I have the empathy and expertise to move this conversation forward. I will continue to push for Chapel Hill to increase its housing density by integrating middle housing and investing in subsidized development throughout town. Learn more
Chapel Hill infrastructure will need to be bolstered to ensure the best possible future for our town. This means unearthing invisible or easy to ignore concerns in existing properties and new building plans to make improvements before they become real problems. Learn more
Chapel Hill has attracted a diverse range of enterprises – large, small, entrepreneurial, national chains, BIPOC and woman-owned businesses – that have integrated beautifully into our community’s economic landscape and entrepreneurial culture. To continue to support our existing local businesses and to foster new entities, I will support our staff to further research methods to strengthen our infrastructure – utilities, connected roadways and greenways, and stormwater management.
