Too many times Kentuckians are denied access to healthcare either from its lack of availability or because of prohibitive costs. Our healthcare workers strive to take care of us in an environment that is difficult to navigate. Healthcare needs to be more readily available to us to keep our kids, our workforce, and our retirees healthy. As the federal government reduces their role in this area, the state government will need to step up to mitigate the cuts to Medicaid. We must take action to take power from the hands of insurance companies and give it back to healthcare providers and their patients. Learn more

Businesses like to come here because of our excellent work force led and protected by unions. Union voices are needed in the spaces where decisions are being made, and I would be proud to be that voice. I would support the repeal of Right to Work legislation, the reinstatement of the prevailing wage, and any effort to strengthen collective bargaining. Learn more
