While there are several factors coming from the federal level, unnecessary government spending only makes inflation worse. We must reduce dependency on public assistance by encouraging employment and ensuring that aid reaches those who genuinely need it. A significant issue is the lack of a transition off welfare—once a certain income level is reached, benefits are abruptly cut off.
