Get StartedOur emergency services do a lot for all of us, and it is only right to ensure that they are properly funded. If we reallocate surplus funds from Madison's unnecessary spending, we can help fund emergency services statewide. We must ensure that our first responders have the proper equipment and the best training available. We must also set a standard of pay that reflects the importance of the work done by our first responders. By doing this, we can do our part and help our first responders continue to operate at the level of excellency that the people of Wisconsin deserve. Learn more
Wisconsin has a strong heritage of service to the nation, and we need to honor that service by making Wisconsin a place that Veterans desire to move to. While there are programs in place for Veterans, transplanted Veterans have to maintain a residency of 5 consecutive years before they can even access most of those programs and benefits. By contrast, anyone who moves to Wisconsin is eligible to run for office after maintaining a residency for 1 year. It's easier for a transplant to our State to hold office than it is for a Veteran to access State benefits. We need to focus on issues facing this community and keep the faith with these men and women that have sacrificed so much for us. Learn more
Local businesses are the hearts and souls of our communities, and it is our duty to ensure that they are protected and empowered. Too often we see small businesses overregulated to the point of being financially insolvent. We need to work to provide an environment that fosters growth in our locally owned businesses and allows for creativity without restrictions being stifling. Learn more
There should never be a time where our schools are financially unable to provide the best education for the future leaders of our State. K12 funding should always be a priority in our budget. We must work to ensure our schools always have the funding they need, however, we must do this responsibly. Raising property taxes when the people of Wisconsin are already struggling to make ends meet is irresponsible and does not serve the best interest of the People of Wisconsin. Representatives had an obligation to cut waste to find funding instead of passing the bill to the people and communities they are supposed to represent. Learn more
We must invest in the future of our agricultural communities to keep farms and farmland in the hands of domestic farmers and teach the younger generations the value of agriculture. By bolstering programs such as 4H and FFA as well as enticing social communities such as Veterans to Wisconsin, we can stay true to our agricultural roots. Limiting the sale of Wisconsin farmland to foreign assets and making it available to citizens of our State will ensure a future for our growing agricultural community. Learn more
We must work on cutting down wasteful spending and be good stewards of tax money. Reducing funds going towards unneeded expenses and pet projects will allow for more money to be allocated to areas of need at the local level without requiring us to raise taxes. Learn more
