Economy

I will fight hard to ensure that people are able to take care of themselves and their families with increased wages that reflect their professional background. I will also fight to protect employee pension systems and Social Security benefits to help people earn and plan for their retirement. I will promote and support access to programs such as WIC to help support their family’s nutritional needs, as well as other programs and subsidies that support workers, parents, children, and families in Missouri. Education

Missouri schools need a renewed emphasis on social studies—history, government and civics, economics, geography—so students have a better understanding of how our communities, state, country, and world have changed over time, and how we can make a better today and tomorrow for all of us without going backward, without repeating past mistakes. Social-emotional learning needs to be integrated into school curriculums so our students grow up with a better understanding of themselves, those around them, and those who may be very different from them. Missouri's school districts deserve to be properly and fully funded. Our tax dollars should not be used for private school vouchers that will only truly benefit a small percentage of students and families, while continuing to drain public school resources. Charter schools should be strictly monitored to ensure that they meet standards commensurate with local public schools. Learn more

Missouri’s public education professionals have two of the best pension systems in the country in PSRS and PEERS. We must diligently protect those systems from efforts that would interfere with how these systems function and gut the guarantees they provide to education professionals. Learn more

Environment / Energy

I will fight for safe clean-up of toxic/radioactive waste, as well as compensation and healthcare for those impacted by contamination. Learn more

I will be a strong voice for gun violence prevention in the Missouri Legislature. Learn more

Healthcare

I will fight for all Missourians to have access to affordable, high-quality healthcare, including the medications, supplies, and accessibility tools they need. This includes fully supporting and properly funding Medicare and Medicaid-- something Republicans continue to fight, despite the majority of Missourians supporting expanding accessibility. Housing

As a legislator, I will work to preserve existing affordable housing, create more affordable housing, and ensure that landlords aren’t taking advantage of tenants by overcharging or inflating rent. I will also advocate for subsidies to help people manage their rent or mortgage payments, especially for first-time homebuyers. Learn more

I am a strong supporter of workers' rights, including fair, professional wages and benefits and workplace protections. I also firmly believe that all workers have the right to organize, form a union, and bargain collectively for salaries, benefits, and working conditions. Learn more
