Get StartedWe will create the Sheriff's Posse, a highly trained group of citizen volunteers who will work under the clear direction of the Sheriff or designated authorities. While the Posse’s involvement in critical situations such as a manhunt will not be ruled out, it will be subject to stringent criteria to mitigate liability and preserve constitutional rights. The primary role of the Sheriff's Posse will be to assist during natural disasters, parades, events, traffic control, and rodeos. Learn more

We propose the creation of distinct patrol zones within the county, designed to minimize response times. Each zone will have an assigned deputy responsible for patrolling during their shift, tailored to the call volume and specific needs of that area. Deputies will primarily focus on unincorporated areas of the county, while also offering assistance to cities upon request for mutual aid. Learn more
A crucial component of our campaign is the commitment to improve professionalism within the Sheriff's Office. We aim to maximize the benefits of the Academy Provider Agreement by increasing training opportunities for Deputies, Dispatchers, and Jailers. The training coordinator will be mandated to host a minimum of two classes each month in each discipline. Furthermore, both internal and external best practice instructors will be invited to contribute, making the training program a revenue-generating initiative. Learn more

In order to strengthen our fight against crime, we intend to restructure assignments and introduce specialized investigators. This approach will involve categorizing criminal investigations into distinct units for more efficient handling of cases, with a focus on crimes against persons and property crimes. Additionally, we plan to establish a dedicated Narcotics Investigations Program. This program will target drug dealers through the use of asset forfeiture funds, creating a confidential informant program, conducting controlled drug buys, and seizing assets utilized in felony drug sales offenses.
