Get StartedAnother policy I would plan is having the Nevada Department of Business & Industry give priority to union-based shops or businesses that hire local Nevadans when it comes to their eligibility to receive grants and subsidies. Learn more
Another policy that I would champion through the state legislature would hold corporations accountable. This specific policy would penalize any company that offshores more than 10% of its workforce to either a different US State or overseas. Learn more
Lastly, I would like to see mandated Project Labor Agreements (PLA's) on all state funded projects in the state, meaning Nevadans build Nevada. Mandating PLAs ensures that every worker that works within building trades receives union pay and benefits and it specifically give these jobs to Nevadans as a result. . Learn more
I will fight to reduce classroom sizes so students get the attention they deserve, provide better resources to both staff and students, and raise teacher wages so we can attract and retain the best educators in our state. Beyond K-12, I will work to make higher education more accessible and affordable, ensuring that every Nevadan has the opportunity to pursue a degree or career training without being crushed by debt. Learn more
Some specific policies I would like to see here in Nevada is having the state seize patents for any lifesaving drug that was developed with state funding if the company charges absurd prices to access it, this will ensure that no lifesaving drug becomes unaffordable. Learn more
Another policy that would lower the cost of prescription drugs in the state is by allowing the state of Nevada to purchase prescription drugs from Canada and importing them back into the state. Canada's healthcare is much more affordable than it is here, and so purchasing their prescription drugs for cheap and bringing it back for the residents of Nevada would ease the rise that we have all seen with drugs costs over the years. I will push for greater public healthcare options, more funding for hospitals and clinics, and programs that make it easier for nurses and healthcare professionals to stay in our state. I will also fight to expand access to affordable higher education for healthcare workers, ensuring we train and retain the talent we need to provide quality care to every Nevadan. Learn more
I also believe in tying the cost of rent to the rate of inflation as well, so that these corporations cannot be allowed to go behind your back and raise your rent simply because them and their corporate friends want to get richer. Learn more
Another huge obstacle stopping Nevadans from having the ability to buy their own home is that large corporations are the only ones buying vast amounts of single-family homes. I would support any legislation that completely and fully bans any corporation from purchasing single family homes. Learn more
Support implementing a rent cap to stop runaway rent hikes, breaking up corporations that hoard homes, and building more publicly funded, affordable housing. The only thing stopping Nevada from having affordable and public housing is due to a ruling named "Dillions Rule", removing this barrier would create the ability to build thousands of houses for the people that actually live here. Learn more
I will support programs that provide resources and opportunities for immigrant families, expand state-level protections, and ensure that no family in Nevada lives in fear of being torn apart. I will also fight to get I.C.E out of our communities here in Nevada. Learn more
For too long, multinational corporations have benefited from a broken immigration system that allows them to exploit undocumented workers, deny them labor protections, and pay substandard wages with no consequences. Undocumented workers are not the problem, corporate exploitation is. I will push for legislation that increases penalties on corporations that knowingly exploit undocumented workers, use immigration status as leverage, or violate labor laws for profit. Learn more
One of the very first policies I will introduce is making sure that workers cannot be fired unless they have violated a specific company policy. Learn more
