Kids who receive access to early childhood education are more likely to excel in school, stay out of trouble and have bright futures. New Orleans has too many blighted properties which lead to increased crime and decreased property values. Ed will work to bolster programs that allow blighted properties to be repaired or replaced so they can be put back into commerce, while also protecting the rights of property owners. Learn more
Big insurance is making record profits while constantly raising rates on policyholders. The people of New Orleans spend the 3rd highest percentage of their income on housing costs in the nation, in large part due to the sky-high cost of insurance. We need reforms that require more transparency on how insurance companies set rates and hold insurers accountable when they needlessly delay and deny legitimate claims. Learn more
