Americans have the right to vote and that protection for that vote - that our voting information is safe and not Federally compromised. It needs to be an easy and convenient process. Women and others who have changed their names should not be burdened with additional requirements to prove their right to be at and included in the polls. Women and others who have changed their names, especially due to marriage, should be granted the right to use both their sur name and married name if they so choose as they are still the same person and hence the same voter or candidate. ICE needs to be abolished. I would enact legislation that not only abolishes ICE. I would enact legislation prohibiting states the ability to impose false authority to ICE agents through legislation and otherwise. Ohio legislating ICE agents having control over local Law Enforcement such including City Police Departments, County Sherrif Departments and the Ohio State Patrol - agencies paid with local and state tax dollars are accountable to citizens. Elected Law Enforcement Leadership positions {such as a Sherrif} are entrusted via vote and therefore it is unconstitutional of the State’s Legislature to attempt to hand this trust to a random masked unidentified person. ICE currently has approximately 10 minutes to 47 days of training with no de-escalation skills. We cannot allow someone who is required to have less training than an Ohio Nail Tech any authority over our law enforcement. Our Sherrif was elected. ICE was not. Learn more
