If people are going to choose bikes, buses, and walking over cars, they must be safer, easier, more efficient and more pleasant. That means investing in things like foot bridges, protected bike lanes and sidewalks, physical speed mitigation, street trees, and dedicated bus lanes, rather than widening roads and adding parking spaces.
