Addressing traffic and infrastructure requires both short-term and long-term solutions. In the short term, my administration will make common-sense decisions, such as closing the old Washington Street exit on I-10. Long-term, we will tackle larger projects like widening Airline Highway and adding flyovers at key intersections to improve traffic flow toward I-12. Learn more
Creating a business-friendly environment for job creation is not rocket science. It is currently too difficult and expensive to operate a business in East Baton Rouge. We will establish a One-Stop Shop Permitting Office and cut red tape to expedite small business approvals. Additionally, we will eliminate burdensome regulations so businesses can maximize productivity. Most importantly, taxes are too high. Homelessness is a major issue, and we cannot allow people, especially our veterans, to live on the streets. We will partner with our state and federal government to build a psychiatric facility to treat those with mental illness and drug addiction. Learn more
