I feel that immigration is a strength of our country, not a weakness. A strong border and smarter legal immigration policies do not have to be mutually exclusive. I disagree that President Trump's border wall has and will ever be effective, just as I agree that he was right to discontinue former President Biden's asylum laws. In Congress, I pledge to work to create a points-based immigration system similarly used by countries such as Canada and Australia, while also bolstering our border enforcement agencies to be better staffed, trained, and supplied.
