There are some good first steps to initiate now, such as monthly testing in a variety of locations, improvement of the swales to allow stormwater runoff to remain for longer periods, and a better-written fertilizer ordinance. As a result of the steady growth in the number of visitors to the island over the past decade, the morning commute on and off the island has become increasingly congested. In order to alleviate these problems, I will investigate the possibility of implementing a computer-assisted traffic control system that adjusts its operations according to the time of day and the day of the week in order to enhance traffic management and orientation.
