Get StartedWe're stronger as a community when owning a home here is within reach for people who live and work in Grand County. I want to make it easier for the builders creating homes residents can actually own, the kind of development that keeps equity in town. Our stormwater, roads, and facilities need attention: ditches that were filled in; drains that are too small for the storms we now get; roads that haven't been resurfaced in decades. The county's first job is catching up, before the next flood writes the bill for us. Learn more
We need better eyes on our water, starting with the aquifer we all rely on, and a plan for growth that fits the place. Stop approving upzones for higher densities or commercial uses right next to our neighbors without getting something back for locals. When the county grants extra density, it should come with a real share of workforce or affordable homes for locals, not be a giveaway to developers. Work with fellow commissioners to set long-term goals and keep them current, instead of deciding big things one meeting at a time. Learn more
Keep county government lean, and put our taxes toward the things only the county can do. Maintain tight budgets, require real bids, and a plan we can read on one page. We shouldn't subsidize private business or pay for work the private sector and other agencies already handle. It's our neighbors' money, and it should be spent that way. Learn more
