We must work together locally and with the state to ensure we have everything we need for our children. Illegal possession of drugs contributes to criminal activity, homelessness, and mental health issues that are plaguing our community, and as such I will strongly advocate for providing the necessary resources to reduce drug abuse while concurrently providing assistance to those that are most vulnerable and in need of aid. Lack of affordable housing is a huge economic problem, that affects everyone. The rising rate of inflation in Washington state has made it difficult for middle and low income families. We need to reform policies/laws to make renting or buying a home easier and more affordable by giving local authorities flexibility to open up land for housing projects. Learn more
The majority party in Olympia continues to raise taxes and create new punitive policies that continue to hurt the middle and lower income families.
