Our public school systems, including Baltimore County Public Schools, must be held accountable to enforce the residency requirements of students. Our classrooms are overcrowded and residency enforcement ensures that the resources intended for our public school system actually go to the students who live within the school system boundaries. Secondary school Administrators should be required to teach at least one class in addition to their administrative duties. I support term limits for legislators and executives that follow the Florida model where there is no lifetime limit on the number of times a Governor or legislator can be elected, but after the consecutive term limit is reached, the Governor or legislator must be out of that office for at least one election cycle before being eligible for re-election. This approach will encourage more candidates to serve with new ideas, while preserving the voters with the option to re-elect a public servant who they truly love and admire in the future.
