Without treatment, manageable conditions become emergencies, driving up costs for everyone and putting huge strain on first responders. Southern Maryland residents currently have the worst commutes in the country. I will work with Federal and state leaders to complete Southern Maryland Rapid Transit (SMRT), connecting communities in Charles County and southern PG County to the DC Metrorail system.
