Get StartedThe role of a state legislator is to focus on the real issues facing their constituents and work to make their lives better. Right now, Utah has an opportunity to invest in the citizens of this state, to ease unnecessary burdens and facilitate opportunities for growth. That’s where my energy will go: championing the legislation that will support, uplift, and include everyone in HD42 and its future generations. We owe it to our children and grandchildren to ensure they can afford to live and work in the state we love. Legislative priorities include addressing property taxes for retired individuals, addressing the supply of starter homes, and lowering electricity costs by supporting innovative energy supplies. I am fervently opposed to development that destroys our natural spaces, especially the proposed data center in Box Elder County, and the gondola project in Little Cottonwood Canyon. If elected, I will do everything in my power to ensure that the gondola does not move forward, and that our state invests in more sustainable projects to reduce traffic in our canyons. Learn more
Clean air and clean water are vital for human life, and future generations deserve to enjoy the healthy environment that we protect today. I believe it is our responsibility to take immediate action that improves the air quality in HD 42 through working to refill the Great Salt Lake and reducing its CO2 emissions while promoting snow and rainfall in Utah. I also support recent legislation that limits vehicle emissions throughout Utah and will further advocate for protections of our air and natural resources. Learn more
Working Utahns are the backbone of our state, and I stand firmly against any attempt by our legislature to undermine their right to collectively bargain. Freedom of association is a cornerstone of our democracy. Any attempt to strip public sector workers of their right to unionize is a direct betrayal of the American values we hold dear. Learn more
I will fiercely defend our firefighters, healthcare professionals, educators, and all public employees, guaranteeing their right to organize and advocate for their livelihoods. I am proud to be endorsed by local labor unions and backed by community organizers because they know I will actually fight for them. Learn more
