As a farmer myself, I say no to using taxpayer dollars to pave over our best farmland for massive data centers. These projects sound high-tech, but they rip productive soil out of production forever, strain our rural electric grid, and suck up enormous amounts of water while giving nothing back to the families who actually feed Wisconsin. We saw proposals in places like DeForest and Menomonie that would have turned hundreds of acres of prime cropland into industrial campuses. I will fight any state subsidies or tax breaks that incentivize this. Farmland should stay farmland — not become another corporate giveaway. Learn more
I am not against all renewable energy, but I am 100% against turning our most productive farmland into industrial solar fields and wind towers that destroy the soil, kill wildlife, and wreck the rural character that makes Door, Kewaunee, and Manitowoc counties special. Tax credits and subsidies are fueling thousand-acre solar farms and giant wind projects on Class 1 and 2 soils that should be growing food and supporting our dairy industry. Once that land is gone, it's gone. As your State Senator, I will support local control bills that give towns and counties veto power over these projects and end the sweetheart subsidies that favor developers over farmers. Learn more

We must draw a hard line: Communist China and other foreign adversaries will not own one more acre of Wisconsin farmland. Right now, foreign entities already control over 600,000 acres in our state. China has been the fastest-growing buyer nationwide, and we cannot let them control our food production or gain strategic footholds near our military bases and Great Lakes ports. The Legislature passed a strong ban on foreign-adversary ownership — including China — but Governor Evers vetoed it. I will fight to override that veto and pass even stronger protections so Wisconsin land stays in Wisconsin hands. Learn more
